Exit News Fall 2016:

EXIT started as a graphic design house and then shifted to films and comics in 2010.

“I feel like my label needs to continue with it’s experimental films but also try to go for the highest production quality possible for it’s upcoming productions. Suniland Inn, executive produced by Michael Levine, is a huge step in that direction. Lovely cinematography and production quality bleeds from this film”, exclaimed Charles Pazos, creative director of EXIT, when describing the constant evolution of the projects he has worked on since he began his artistic journey. Charles has been continuously challenging himself intellectually to keep rising the quality and concept of his work since breaking into the industry in 1999 as a broadcast animator for television. It was at this time that he started EXIT as an “experimental graphics” label before expanding to films and comics. Pazos jokes, “Some of my best work came from before I worked in the industry, some of the comics I created as a teen had much more imagination than a lot of my industry work.”

Charles would call his latest work “slightly influenced by some Noire sensibilities” but that people would be incorrect to call his label a “Noire Label” nor that Noire is his house style. Pazos confirms that he loves “cinema neo-realism” and that “The Bends has some “Paul Dini Batman” influences”, but that “calling the whole Label noire would probably limit the full experience of it’s works.” Pazos is also very proud of everyone that has collaborated with him on his films.

“Intersections is an awesome contribution between every artist in the production. To make a film that works and that tells you a story, in multiple dimensions and with multiple voices, is just a sick, sick accomplishment. This is a seriously high-concept lo-fi film and Michael Nouri and I are very proud of it.”

Upcoming projects in development by EXIT are “Wolfmeng” which Charles’ calls a “hip-hop horror film” and also a sci-fi drama film with the working title of “Woman and (almost)Man.”
